Christy and Ben combined again to frame this Irish masterpiece.

Christy mounted, spaced and prepared the pictures, rugby boots and shirt ready for Ben to frame.

The shirt shape was programmed into a CAD (Computer Aided Design) system, then cut using the computerised mount cutter.

Fine Art Trade Guild Regional Framing Award

We’re looking forward to the Regional Framing Award organised by the Fine Art Trade Guild at the end of this month.

This a competition for all framers in the North West. It will be judged by Branch members and others, at the next Branch Event on 24 April 2008.

Framed Golf Shirt By Christy And Ben

Christy stretched and mounted this golf shirt, and cut out an aperture for the photo, and the pink ribbon shape, adding a pale pink mount card to show through the gap.

Ben then framed the set in a black deep rebate moulding.

This was for a charity auction which raised a lot of money for the pink ribbon appeal.

Framing A Record - Queen Pictures, Autograph, Album Cover And LP

We’ve framed a set of Queen images, record, album cover and signature.

Using our mount cutter, we’ve cut different shaped apertures to fit each item. The computerised cutter enables us to be creative, because it takes a fraction of the time to cut mounts. It’s also extremely precise.

Christy’s the Queen fan at the shop, so I’m guessing this is her handiwork…. but I’ve been known to be wrong on this in the past!!

If you’ve had something Autographed, it can make an impressive feature if you collect some images, quotes, or merchandise related to the star and have them framed together.

Framed Elvis Pictures (And Squishy Star)

Christy and Ben Framed this set of Elvis memorabilia:

Christy set up the items, mounted and attached them, and Ben framed the collection. We’ve used a box frame, and double mounts (cut with our computerised mount cutter). The letters for ‘Elvis Presley’ were also cut out of mount board. (Good job they can spell!)

As with most of our work, we’ve used acid free mounts to avoid any discolouration.

With this example, the guitar has been spaced in a box frame, using two double mounts.
We’ve used normal glass, and acid free mount board to prevent damage.
